Sunlit great room

Cover story

A house in Coral Gables that took six months and thirty years.

The clients had lived with the same dining table since their first apartment. Everything else changed — the openings, the plaster, the light. The table stayed, refinished once, and the room was built to deserve it.

Notes from the studio

We start every project the same way: a survey, a measure, and an hour of listening. Not to style preferences — to how the house is actually used at 7am on a Tuesday.

The proposal comes next. One number, one scope, one timeline. Nothing is ordered until it's signed, and nothing is marked up after.

Sourcing runs through trade workrooms and vintage dealers we've used for years. Pieces are received, inspected, and repaired at our warehouse before they ever enter your house.

Install day is a single day where possible. Furniture, art, lighting, styling — the reveal is the point, and we protect it.

Afterward we come back once, at the ninety-day mark, to adjust what living in the room has taught us. It's included.
